Galvanised Steel - (Plasma Cutting)

Galvanised mild steel sheets have a protective zinc coating making it ideal for outdoor or industrial applications.

Please familarise yourself with our plasma guide, additional design points to consider:-

• Recommended minimum hole size is 4mm or 2 x thickness (industry standard for plasma cutting).
• Cut edges should be treated with zinc galvanising spray to prolong life.

Cutting Offsets (kerf width / laser cut line width)

1mm thick material = approx. 0.7mm (note this is compenstated in software)

Internal lead-in / out lengths minimum 3mm (please refer to our plasma guide to understand how this can effect your cut / design.
