Stainless Steel (Plasma Cutting)

Stainless steel (grade 304) is an excellent corrosion resistant alloy ideal for outdoor or industrial applications.

Please familarise yourself with our plasma guide, additional design points to consider:-

• Recommended minimum hole size is 4mm.
• Thin stainless steel cuts quickly and can be susceptible to a jagged cut edge (in comparison to thicker grades). 

Cutting Offsets (kerf width / laser cut line width)

2mm thick material = approx. 1mm (note this is compensated in software)

Internal lead-in / out lengths minimum 3mm (please refer to our plasma guide to understand how this can effect your cut / design.
