Balsa is a lightweight timber used extensively for constructing models (remote controlled aircrafts, architectural applications etc).

Balsa is also often used as a core material in composite layups; for example blades of wind turbines, surfboards etc.

100mm x 450mm planks, available in 2.4mm, 3.2mm, 4.8mm, 9.6 and 12.6mm thicknesses.
